CLUBS

Clubs are a great way to enjoy non-academic activities and develop new friendships in a low-pressure environment. In addition to athletics and theater, BCS offers a variety of extracurricular clubs.

Clubs vary from year to year, depending largely on student interest and the availability of sponsors.

In Literary Lions, writers from grades 9-12 come together, encouraging one another to tap into the deep well of talent God has placed inside each one of them. Moreover, the club acts as a safe place for students to explore their emotions and thoughts, as they translate their inner worlds into poetry, short stories, songs, and essays. Writing club also cultivates a sense of community and camaraderie among its members, as they share their work, provide constructive feedback, and inspire one another. Ultimately, the club not only hones literary talent, but also empowers high school students to find their unique, God-given voices through the art of writing.

Writing club was one of the first clubs I was a part of that wasn’t a sport. That was one of the best parts--it brought together an unlikely group of kids from all different avenues.
